We are an approved contractor under NAPIT's self certifying and notification scheme in the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors. NAPIT is an organisation committed to consumer safety in the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors. The whole aim of the organisation is to ensure that through the competence of their Members, consumers can be confident of work that complies with relevant regulations and a strict quality control system.
A job can be safe, comply with regulations and still be poorly done, which is why
NAPIT offer a Work Quality Guarantee scheme to give you peace of mind; details of which appear on the Compliance Certificate issued by NAPIT on behalf of its members when the work has been completed. The Work Quality Guarantee Scheme covers notified works should the member be unable to rectify the works because they are no longer in business.
NAPIT issue you with a certificate of compliance for the work carried out and also update your local authority's records. This will help you with future house sale issues and may be required by future extensions of the home information pack.
NAPIT also supports the objectives of the Electrical Safety Council which is an independent non-profit-making organisation, registered as a charity; set up to protect the safety of consumers. Supported by all sectors of the electrical industry as well as local and central government, it deals with all electrical safety matters on behalf of consumers, dedicated to improving standards and promoting best practice.
We are now able to offer a six year guarantee on all notified works.*

As a NAPIT approved contractor we are required to:-
1/ Comply with BS 7671: 2001 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations) and other relevant standards and Codes of Practice
2/ Be directly engaged in electrical installation work
3/ Have premises and equipment appropriate to the range and scale of electrical work undertaken
4/ Have Test Instruments suitable for carrying out the range of tests required by BS 7671.
5/ Possess up-to-date copies of the following Publications:
a . BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations)
b . Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations
c . IEE Guidance Note 3 on inspection and testing
6/ Maintain an effective system which enables them to confirm the continuing accuracy and consistency of all test instruments used for certification and reporting purposes
7/ Have a minimum £2 million pounds public liability insurance
8/ Make available for assessment sufficient completed electrical work across the range normally undertaken and undertake an annual onsite assessment to ensure their work complies with electrical regulation standards and that electrical tests are carried out correctly.
9/ Employ competent persons to undertake electrical work.
10/ Maintain a record of complaints made about the technical standard of electrical work carried out, together with the details of the remedial action taken, if any, to resolve the complaints
11/ Have a written Health and Safety policy statement and carry out risk assessments as appropriate
Clients who employ a NAPIT registered electrician can be assured their electrician is fully qualified and has the skills, qualifications and working procedures required to be a member of NAPIT or any other trade association/part p monitoring organisation.
